We had our first real big snowfall Thurs/Fri! Almost 30cm in 2 days!! This morning it was an unbearable -26C! Brrr!
I had a full week of cooking, as well as our in laws being here until Wed. (They are away for a week right now). Over all it hasn't been too bad. We had a couple miscommunication issues and a little tension because of it, but we are all working on it. Ask me again in a month and this might be a different story;)
We had Lilly's appointment with the specialist on Tues. Unfortunately her creatine is still elevated and her potassium is on the high end of normal. The vet did a ratio test which came back normal so they increased her meds, again, and she has to be retested at that time. If there is no improvement they want to do a culture of her urine, to determine if there is some kidney issues going. It's been a long 7wks since her Addison's crisis. Regular blood work, lots of insurance claims, and still trying to get her doses right and get her back on the road to good health.
In other news...I applied for new job last week! It's actually the first time in 12yrs! I'm still doing my home business but was wanting something else part time, doing something else I love, and having the opportunity to mingle with other people outside of my home. I had an interview yesterday and I will know next week, but it's looking good!! I'm actually pretty excited. Once I know for sure I will fill you in on the details:)
Today we had deliveries. Before heading out I made us pancakes. I used Coyote brand pancake mix with dark chocolate almond milk, and topped it with banana, Truwhip and maple syrup.
This afternoon I worked on some light housework then Paul took me out on a dinner date to give me a break from cooking. Of course, I picked sushi;)
Jumbo Dynamite Roll <3
Dessert was a long missed favorite- Peppermint Candy!
Tomorrow I have to finish up work around the house, and get breakfast and lunch prepped for Monday. I'm in full day training Mon.& Tues taking my Standard first aid, and CPR.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
